THWR. Giving injured and orphaned wildlife a second chance at life.

This website is devoted to helping fund our little wildlife rehabilitation center. We share stories on the animals we have taken in that we do not have time to post on facebook.

Watch the slideshow to see some of your favorite animals that have been patients here at THWR. Most have been released back into the wild but a few have become permanent residents due to injuries that prevent them from being able to survive on their own.

Tender Heart Wildlife is not Federally licensed to rehabilitate birds, though we are a clearing house. We take in injured and orphaned birds, stabalize them and transport them to other licensed rehabbers inthe area.

Pictured on the left is a barred owl. He came in after being hit by a car. With only a mild head injury he was ready for release in just a few days. Most birds are not that lucky. Broken wings and legs, severe head trauma, eye injuries and more are seen when birds of prey are struck by a vehicle.

THWR has taken in many types of birds, from song birds, to birds of prey, from woodpeckers to road runners.

As we work on this website we will include stories and pictures of many birds that we have had the oppertunity to help.
